OnePlus 7/7 Pro and 7T/7T Pro getting OxygenOS 11.0.1.1 update with May 2021 security patch

As the end of the month is coming, OnePlus is gradually making the May 2021 security improvements available to more of its devices. Recently, the OnePlus 6 and 6T received these improvements and the OnePlus 9R along with Nord N100 too got the latest OxygenOS updates.

Now the company has begun to provide these sorts of improvements for its older OnePlus 7 series of phones. It includes OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro. The firmware comes with May 2021 security patch alongside some improvements and bug fixes.

OnePlus phones are also known for their issues disturbing users and thus, the company always include the fixes and improvements in its updates. The latest update for OnePlus 7 devices can be identified with OxygenOS 11.0.1.1 version and comes as an incremental update.

As its the staged rollout and will take time to cover each and every OnePlus 7 device. Meanwhile, the users can still try and check for this update manually by heading towards the settings of the device under the software updates section.

What’s changing?

The changelog mentioned below claims that after installing this update on your smartphone, you’ll get rid of some issues such as the occasional bug of the Google Fi SIM card that was previously not able to accept incoming calls.

In addition, it also fixes the abnormal display issue that occurs while making a phone call. Further, the mirror effect on the camera which was not working previously is now resolved. Also, the abnormal issues with the camera zooming in macro mode and the problem with buttons in Nightscape mode are also fixed.

Regarding the improvements, the fluency of the system has been improved, swiping experience of the shelf, speed of previewing pictures has also been taken care of. Last but not least, there are some improvements in the 4G network communication and in the stability of the Wi-Fi connection.
