OnePlus is now confirmed that the OnePlus 8 series will get regular security updates till April 2023. The company has already released the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 8 series. This is the first major Android OS update for the latest 2020’s flagship series.
OnePlus gives 3 major Android OS upgrades to its flagship smartphones. As confirmed by OnePlus, alongside the major OS updates, these devices will also get regular quarterly security updates till 2023. It also means the software support will end in the same year.
In addition, the company also confirmed that the OnePlus Nord, the latest mid-range smartphone by OnePlus, will also get the software support until July 2023, three years of support. No words about the major Android OS upgrades.
There’s no information about OnePlus 7, 7T, or other devices software supports.
