Samsung releasing June 2021 security patch for Galaxy S20 FE in Europe

Earlier, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G received the latest security update in China and Hong Kong. Now, this firmware update has been detected in some European countries, mainly in the Netherlands. Like the recent software, this new Galaxy S20 FE 5G variant comes with June 2021 Android and One UI patch.

However, this is an initial rollout, and you may have to wait longer to get it via OTA. At the same time, you can easily check for updates manually by going to your device’s Settings, opening the Software Updates section, and finally clicking Download and Install.

Following the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 this summer, Galaxy S20 FE users will get the One UI 3.5 update, which will bring some new changes and minor UI adjustments. Although this is also an incremental update based on Android 11 OS, next year’s One UI 4.0 update based on Android 12 will bring major changes.

Since last year, Samsung has effectively delivered Android 11 operating system upgrades, ahead of its own schedule and security patches. Similarly, the South Korean tech giant launched over 300 million OTAs for different galaxies in May 2021 alone.
