Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro to use Samsung OLED display, similar to Pixel 6

Google will soon launch its next flagship smartphones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. In the meantime, the specifications of upcoming Pixel phones are started uncovering through different sources. As per the latest information, these new smartphones will use Samsung’s OLED displays same as its predecessor.

Further, the information hints that Google Pixel 7 series equips a basic display like the Pixel 6 with very slight changes. It means that the standard Pixel 7 will support up to a 90Hz refresh rate similar Pixel 6. Meanwhile Pixel 7 Pro will have a 120Hz refresh rate just like the Pixel 6 Pro.

In terms of specifications, The Google Pixel 7 will have a 6.4-inch OLED display with full HD+ resolution. While the Pixel 7 Pro will sport a 6.71-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution. Further, both the upcoming smartphones will have HDR10+ compatibility and a center punch hole display design.

Aside from the display part, it is unclear what new will Google brought to the software system. Previously, it was reported that it will add 1080p display resolution mode with Android 13. At the moment, Google hasn’t disclosed any information relates to Pixel 7 series specifications and overall appearance. More information is yet to come until thee stay tuned!

Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro display leaks ahead of launch

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro display specs in detail:

For your information, Google has developed two display drivers – C10 (Cheetah) and P10 (Panther) for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro respectively. The latest piece of the news reveals that  Pixel 7 and 7 Pro use the exact same Samsung panels — S6E3FC3 and S6E3HC3 respectively.

Further, the Pixel 7 will have a slightly smaller touch, which is 1mm narrower and 2mm shorter than the Pixel 6. On the flip side, the Pixel 7 Pro’s display remains unchanged compared to the Pixel 6 Pro.
