Apple will reportedly release official iOS 14.5 in the early hours of tomorrow

Apple plans to release the official version of iOS 14.5 in the early hours of tomorrow morning. The software update has been in Beta testing since February 1st and has a long list of new features, including the ability to unlock the iPhone with a Face ID while wearing a mask with the assistance of the Apple Watch.

Apple iOS 14.5 also introduced 5G support for iPhone 12 models in dual-SIM mode, new Waze-like features in Apple Maps, Apple Fitness + exercise support AirPlay 2 streaming, new emoji, New Siri sounds, support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X game controllers, redesigned Apple Podcasting app, battery health issue fixes for iPhone 11 models, etc.

Starting from iOS 14.5, Apple will also implement application tracking transparency, which will require applications to obtain user permission to track their activities on other applications and websites in order to achieve the purpose of targeted advertising. Apple previously confirmed that iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, and tvOS 14.5 will be released this week.
