Research institutions said in the latest report that the demand for server DRAM is growing, and this year is expected to exceed the demand for DRAM for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers for the first time.

Research institutions predict in the report that the global server demand for DRAM this year will reach 68.486 billion GB, and the DRAM required for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers is expected to be 66.272 billion GB this year.

Global server demand The report said that companies such as Google and Amazon currently operate more than 8,000 data centers around the world. Analysts predict that the DRAM required for servers in these data centers exceeds the DRAM demand of 15 billion mobile devices worldwide.

The research institute also stated in the report that by 2026, the average annual growth rate of server demand for DRAM is expected to reach 24%, and related manufacturers will also benefit from it. Samsung Electronics, currently the world’s largest storage manufacturer, and SK Hynix, the second largest manufacturer, will also ensure their profits through server demand.
