Last month, Huawei released a new and interesting feature app icon customization ability for its smartphones running of HarmonyOS 2.0. Although there were plenty of other functions, the app customization feature is something users have different preferences for.
Well, with this function a user is able to modify the app icon size on the home screens of smartphones. Alongside the icon size, it also enables the widget size adjustment and font size on the home screen. Here, we’ll see the step-by-step procedure about how to change the app icon size.
HarmonyOS 2.0 App Icon Customization: Tip
First of all, users need to open the smartphone’s Settings and then head to the Home screen & wallpaper tab. Thereafter, they need to click on the Home screen settings and they’ll find an option called Icon Size.
Furthermore, users can also access the home screen settings directly from the home screen in three taps. Just follow the below-mentioned procedures
- Place two fingers on the home screen and close them inwards
- Select “Home scree settings”
- Select Icon size
When you finally tap on the Icon size, the screen will display a sidebar overlapping the user interface. This setting enables a user to increase or decrease the application icon size
While sliding the bar towards the left, the icons will become smaller. On the other hand, slide right to increase the size of the user interface element. Besides, it’ll also display the preview to check the suitable size.
Once you set the preferred app icon size press back to settle the final changes and leave to that adjustment screen. This is really useful as different users have different viewing comfort.
