Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro and Nova 5z receiving September 2020 update

Huawei has released a new update for the member of the Nova 5 family that includes Nova 5, Nova 5i Pro, and Nova 5z. This update primarily installs the security patch released in September 2020 and enhanced the device performance.

Previously, Huawei Nova 5T grabbed the September 2020 security update which improves system security. As for this week, we had reported that EMUI 11 beta is under development for Nova 5T and its rollout will start from 12 December in Europe.

  • Huawei Nova 5 (SEA-AL00)
  • Huawei Nova 5i Pro (SPN-AL00)
  • Huawei Nova 5z (SPN-AL00)

NEW VERSION:

  • Huawei Nova 5, 5i Pro, 5z grabbing EMUI 10.1.0.93 from EMUI 10.1.0.92

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
