September 2020 update rolling out for Huawei Nova 5T

Huawei is sending September 2020 update for Huawei Nova 5T users. This new update installs the September security patch that brings improvement for system security.

Earlier this week, we had reported that the EMUI 11 beta rollout schedule for Europe. As per schedule, the EMUI 11 beta is under development for devices including the Huawei P40, P30, Mate 20 series, Mate 30 Pro, Mate Xs, and Nova 5T.

However, EMUI 11 beta rollout will start from December 12 for Huawei Nova 5T (YAL-L21) and available for users from March 26 via Support app and OTA update. The dates are not officially confirmed yet.

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Click on system & updates.
  3. Click on the software update.
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button.
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  8. Reboot the device.

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device.
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store.
  3.  Open service tab.
  4. Tap on update.
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button.
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen.
  9. Reboot the device.
