Huawei is expanding the reach of its May 2021 security update as a number of Huawei devices are getting these improvements. According to the latest news, the Huawei P40 Lite 5G running EMUI 10.1 has now been included in the May 2021 security update.
This smartphone is getting new firmware with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.247 (C432E2R4P1) and it just brings the security patch besides adding new features or any other changes. The update comes with a package size of 241MB.

Along with the security patches for the global user, the company on the other hand is also expanding the HarmonyOS 2.0 update for its eligible devices in China. And the beta program will also soon begin for international users.
As per Huawei, the May 2021 security update fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVEs. Additionally, it also resolves 14 hidden privacy issues for improved system security.
