New Huawei FreeBuds 4 firmware update brings health reminder feature, improves connectivity

Huawei is releasing a new update for its latest-gen wearable device, Huawei FreeBuds 4 that will make your experience more enhanced while calling or listing to audio. The initial rollout of the update took off from China and gradually expand globally in the near future.

The FreeBuds wireless earbuds are Huawei’s latest-gen which offers great sound quality and a bunch of sound-related features to enhance your audio listening experience. These earbuds are just 4.1 grams lightweight for easy comfort fit on your ears.

Furthermore, there are various features such as ANC 2.0 noise reduction tech for immersive audio quality. Compared to the previous generation, the FreeBuds 4 comes with improved battery capacity. And its charging case can provide up to 22 hours of music playback.

The latest software update on the FreeBuds 4 comes with firmware version 1.0.0.188 along with a negligible update size of 3.03MB. It includes improvements for Bluetooth connectivity, optimizations for audio and noise cancellation. It further adds a new health reminder feature.

The update is currently in the initial stage of the rollout so it may take time to reach your device. If it has then made sure to maintain at least 30% battery on both devices. Also, always put your earbuds in the charging case and leave them open during the update, and pair with the device while updating.

  • First make sure, if the earbuds are connected to the device
  • Open AI Life app > tap on Check for updates > if available touch UPDATE
  • Wait for the update to download
  • Once downloaded close the charging case and wait for 10 minutes for the case to install the update automatically.
