Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro smartwatches with the latest WearOS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5 OS last month. The two new wearables are now receiving a new software update that brings performance improvements.
According to the information, the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 update is rolling out for Verizon’s models in the US. It holds the One UI built version ending with AVH6 for all three – 40mm, 44mm, and 45mm models.

It should be mentioned that the official changelog for the fresh Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series update does not mention any notable changes except for performance improvements. With this enhancement, the company aims to provide users will seamless functionality on their devices while maintaining the users’ experience.
Besides these, there is nothing that the official changelog mentions. However, you might notice some minor changes like stability enhancements, better app functionality, smoother performance, or any other advancements.
Google, on the other hand, keeps on providing new functionalities to its Wear OS devices. Recently, was spotted that Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro users are able to take WhatsApp voice calls on their watches, previously, users were only able to receive regular calls.
In the meantime, Google has also announced to soon bring Bitmoji to your watch faces for the Wear OS running smartwatches. The feature will let you use your designed Bitmoji on Snapchat, Bitmoji.com, or the Bitmoji mobile app.
Anyways, you can bring the latest Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro update by navigating to Galaxy Wearable app on your connected Galaxy/Android smartphone. Now go to Watch settings and then Watch software update followed by Download and install options.
