Putting an end to all the rumors and leaks, Samsung has finally announced its most awaited A-series phones which are Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72 and there is another 5G variant of Galaxy A52. With these new handsets, the company is looking to add more value to the Galaxy A phones by bringing some of the high-end functionalities.
Starting with the design, the new phones equip a brand new rear panel that looks attractive with the matte finish even with the polycarbonate body. On the front side, there is a punch-hole camera in the top middle and thin bezels around the corners. The top side also equips an in-display fingerprint scanner for advanced protection.
Now as we have discussed internal protection, so we should also see that the company has provided IP67 water and dust resistance for these devices to protect them from the external environment. This was the first flagship grade functionality and there are more like this coming up. Now let’s get into their features and see how Samsung has impressed us this time:
Display:
The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 come with a display size of 6.7-inch with an Infinity-O Super AMOLED panel that supports a high refresh rate of 90Hz, while the A52 5G variant comes with a 120Hz display.

Processor:
In terms of power, both the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 are equipped with a Snapdragon 720G processor whereas the 5G version of the Galaxy A52 is powered by the Snapdragon 750G. These aren’t the flagship-grade chipsets but they are good enough to handle multitasking.
Camera:
Here’s another flagship quality of these smartphones which can be noted in the camera specs. All three devices are equipped with a 64MP main camera which is optically stabilized. These phones also feature a 12MP ultra-wide and a 5MP lens for depth sensing.
The fourth camera of Galaxy A52/52 5G is a macro lens of 5MP, while on the Galaxy A72 there is an 8MP camera with a 3x telephoto lens. All the models feature a 32MP camera for selfies.
Sound and waterproof rating
The premium features do not end here, all the three models, the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 come with stereo speakers and support for Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience. Like the other high-end Galaxy models, these ones are also water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating.
Software
The Galaxy A52/A52 5G and Galaxy A72 come pre-packed with the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.1 out of the box. And these smartphones are also eligible to get three years of major upgrades and a 4-year of support for a security patch.
Battery
There is a 4500mAh battery on the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G, while the Galaxy A72 packs a 5000mAh battery and all of them have support for 25W fast charging. Although, Samsung will ship these handsets with just a 15W charger in the box cut the cost.
Price and Availability
Sales for the Galaxy A52/A52 5G and Galaxy A72 will start soon in Europe and will be available in different color options as Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, and Awesome White.
Coming to the price, the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 will come at the initial price of 349 and 449 euros and for the Galaxy A72, the price goes 429 euros.
