It has been reported that Apple removed the 5 Watt power adapter from the Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Hermès. These two watch included the power adapter earlier which is now removed.
Apple previously stated that it will remove power adapter from Apple Watch due to environmental concern. Afterwards it was reported that the Apple Watch Edition and the Apple Watch Hermès will retain the power adapter and all the other models of Apple Watch will ship without power adapter.
Apple decided to put the power adapter with these two Watches because they are the high end models. The price of these watch range between $799 and $1499.
Apple added a note on its website after it removed the power adapter. The note states that “As part of our effort to meet our environmental goals, Apple Watch does not include a power adapter. Please use your existing power adapter or add a new one before you check out.”
Apple did not said any thing on why it has suddenly removed the power adapter from the Apple Watch.
