Tesla Energy’s application to sell electricity is officially confirmed: Report

According to the latest report, Musk’s “Tesla Energy Ventures” submitted an electricity selling application formally approved to sell electricity to retail customers in Texas, USA.

The documents show that Tesla can use its network of photovoltaic panel customers in the state to build a user base and conduct marketing through mobile apps and websites.

Moreover, U.S. federal energy data show that the installed capacity of personal solar panels for Texans has exceeded 1 gigawatt.

Furthermore,  Tesla submitted an application to the Texas Public Utilities Commission in mid-August to sell electricity in the retail market through Tesla Energy’s subsidiaries.

According to reports, Tesla may sell electricity directly to Texas’ unregulated power grid, the Texas Electric Reliability Commission (ERCOT).
