Upcoming Huawei foldable phones will have new lighting technology, reveals a patent

Huawei seems to be working on foldable phones as the company has previously filed a patent for a new technology that will provide a smooth experience to gamers while playing games on folding smartphones. And now the Chinese tech giant has filed a fresh patent related to another new technology for its upcoming folding devices.

As per the latest info (Via – Huawei Central), the company patents for a method and device folding screen lighting in China with publication number CN112241194A. The patent describes a method of folding screen lighting to reduce the brightness problems while users turn on the screen in dark or dim conditions.

As per the method, not only the brightness is managed intelligently, the color gradation can also be achieved. The color of the display is managed as the users use their smartphones on the different angles. For example, when the user opens the display at a 10-degree angle, the screen display color is red while it changes to orange and yellow with the increasing angles.

This technology is supported on both the inward of outward display and to make this technology possible, there is a number of sensors needed such as magnetic sensor, acceleration sensor, distance sensor, and infrared diode proximity sensor.

As there is no actual confirmation on whether this technology will be used in the upcoming Huawei foldable devices or not. As of now, the company is working on its new foldable device that will be the Huawei Mate X2.
